Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 13 (Reporter Zhou Yuan) — The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) held a plenary meeting of the Leading Group for Low-Altitude Industry Development on February 13. The meeting proposed to effectively strengthen top-level planning, improve planning formulation, increase policy support for the innovative development of the low-altitude industry, accelerate standard pre-research, and establish a sound industrial standard system.

On January 21, the Information Office of the State Council held a press conference on China’s 2025 industrial and IT development. Vice Minister Zhang Yunming noted that industrial added value rose 5.9% year on year, telecom services increased 9.1%, and the industrial and IT sector contributed over 40% to economic growth, acting as a key stabilizer of the economy.

On the 25th, an event releasing the report on IT development achievements and e-government progress during the 14th Five-Year Plan period was held in Beijing. Relevant officials from the Cyberspace Administration of China stated that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China made remarkable achievements in IT development. New breakthroughs were made in cyber and information technology innovation, new leaps were achieved in information infrastructure, and IT application was further upgraded. China has moved from breakthroughs in key areas to all-round empowerment of development at a faster pace.
