On January 21, the Information Office of the State Council held a press conference to brief the media on China's industrial and information technology development achievements in 2025 and answer questions from reporters.
Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that in 2025, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.9% year on year. The share of manufacturing value-added in GDP remained stable, and the total volume of telecom services rose by 9.1% year on year.
The industrial and information technology sector contributed more than 40% to China's economic growth, effectively serving as a stabilizer for the economy.
