According to the report, China has made remarkable progress in modern logistics, advanced manufacturing and other fields in recent years. A total of 80 national-level advanced manufacturing clusters cover high-end equipment, new energy and other sectors, with clusters in the high-end equipment sector accounting for 36.25%.

  Meanwhile, China’s supply chain digital transformation has been accelerating, empowered by emerging technologies. Statistics from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing show that the overall penetration rate of artificial intelligence in logistics and supply chains has exceeded 37%, among which the penetration rate in transportation optimization is the highest, reaching 78.18%.

  Peng Xinliang, Secretary-General of the Public Procurement Branch of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, noted that “AI + Supply Chain” has become a major trend in industrial development. AI has been integrated and deeply applied in a wide range of supply chain scenarios, including product R&D, logistics, procurement management and supplier management. Logistics enterprises are increasing investment in AI research and development.

  In addition, the report pointed out that the overseas development model of Chinese enterprises has gradually shifted from “product exports” and “capacity exports” to a new stage of “entire industrial and supply chain going global”, with industrial clusters working together to build an overseas ecosystem.

  In 2024, China’s cross-border e-commerce import and export volume reached 2.63 trillion yuan, up 10.8% year on year. The number of overseas warehouses built by Chinese enterprises exceeded 2,500, with a total area of more than 30 million square meters.
